Mr. McGill is the original ethical stage hypnotist, he was also one of the kindest, most decent and gentle souls to grace this Earth. A dear longtime friend and I miss him daily.

I travel the country. I train, teach and meet many people from all walks of life, from every faith.

Every election year I get bombarded with "who are you voting for, Scott?" I usually answer, "I haven't decided yet," because it's true.

I am not a Liberal, Conservative, Democrat, Republican or Libertarian. I'm a Christian. And that simple fact determines who gets my vote.

I am old enough to remember our nation before the age of information. The Internet, Facebook and smart phones. A time when human contact was not a luxury, but a necessity.

How did we ever exist before a fax machine? We used snail mail and a land line telephone. The world was more personal then. Banks loaned money on a signature. That was the only collateral required.

When I decided to start the Christian Hypnosis Association and teach a systemized version of scriptural parables, stories and Biblical concepts in my hypnosis training, my colleagues thought I lost my mind.

The market is too secular, they said. You will scare away interested prospects. The Christian community will think you're trying to profit from Jesus' teachings.

I consult with ministers and pastors of many faiths. I teach pulpit etiquette. How to get and hold a congregations attention, how to make their points more clear, understandable and doable for everyday living. And most importantly, how to encourage the congregation to be participants, not merely an audience.
